Privacy Policy

TalentDock ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps users save LinkedIn profile data to their own Google Sheets. This policy explains what data is accessed, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Data we collect

TalentDock does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. The extension operates entirely within your browser.

The following data is processed locally on your device only:

• LinkedIn profile information visible on the page (name, job title, company, location, profile URL) — read from the DOM and written to your Google Sheet.
• Your Google OAuth2 access token — stored in chrome.storage.local on your device and used exclusively to authenticate requests to the Google Sheets API on your behalf.
• Your Google Sheet ID and tab name — stored in chrome.storage.local to remember your configuration.
• A monthly save counter — stored in chrome.storage.local to enforce the free plan limit.
• Your theme preference (dark/light) — stored in chrome.storage.local.

2. Data we do NOT collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage telemetry.
• We do not collect browsing history.
• We do not transmit LinkedIn data to any server other than the Google Sheets API.
• We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data.

3. Third-party services

Google Sheets API — profile data is sent directly from your browser to the Google Sheets API using your own OAuth2 token. This data goes into a Google Sheet that you own. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

ExtensionPay — if you upgrade to the Pro plan, payment is processed by ExtensionPay (powered by Stripe). No financial data is handled by TalentDock itself. ExtensionPay's privacy policy applies: extensionpay.com/privacy.

4. Permissions used

• sidePanel — to display the TalentDock panel in the browser sidebar.
• storage — to save your settings and OAuth token locally on your device.
• identity — to authenticate with Google via OAuth2 so data can be written to your Sheet.
• scripting — to read LinkedIn profile data from the active tab when you request it.
• tabs — to detect when you navigate to a LinkedIn profile so the panel can update automatically.

5. Data retention

All data stored by TalentDock lives in chrome.storage.local on your device. You can delete it at any time by removing the extension or clearing extension storage via Chrome settings. Data written to your Google Sheet is governed by your own Google account settings.

6. Children's privacy

TalentDock is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
